random (but serious) thoughts...1) disappointed..in how some people change to be totally different.. 2) angry..with people who comment/criticise my parents/family lifestyle.. 3) confused..by some people who always like to compare people's life with their own's.. 4) angry (again)..at people who always think they are right.. anyway... the 3 days safety training has finally ended! we attended fm 9am to arnd 4pm for the whole 3 days..gg for talks n lab training..regarding how to deal with chemical spills n all the possible hazards that can be in the lab..the training is definately useful...but the lunch breaks is simply too long!! n they lengthen wif each day lo...first it was 1 hr..den 1.5..n today? 2.5 hrs!! duh lo..me n ada got so much time until we went to the comp lab n play facebook..which is like so stupid la! they might as well continue fm the morning talk den let all of us go off earlier..urgh...but den again..this long wait is quite worth it la.. cos after the lunch break..the guy was fm some fire safety co. or wat..telling us abt fire hazards, how to deal wif sudden fire outbreak...and also the importance of fire extinguishers at home or work place..of cos..all these depends on individual..like ada..she dun see a need for a fire extinguisher at home cos for her..even if there is a small fire at home she will jus run out of hse..haha...but for my case..my family also believed that there is a need for an extinguisher at home so that we can try to put out small fire b4 it can spread n cause lives...so anyway..the moment i reached home..i immediately went to check if my fire extinguisher still works..n to my horror..IT'S NOT!! the needle in the gauge is already pointing at the red section..indicating that it has already expired! (btw..each extinguisher onli last 1 yr..).. n also becos of this check..i realise that my home fire extinguisher is actually in the kitchen where it can easily be taken out n used in times of need..n not in the store room which i initially thot...hahaha..opps! n also..it is of the correct content too..not CO2 gas..but ABC dry chemical powder..cool! (oh..fyi..onli the powder extinguisher can be used on people..not the CO2 one!) i have already asked my father to get the expired extinguisher replaced..n also ask him to see if can get the face mask n fire blanket...hahahha..m i being too paranoid or im jus too motivated by the talk? hmmz..well..it always better to get prepared den to let things worsen when actually it can be stopped initially right? hahaha... rem: a fire extinguisher is of no use if..its expired or u dunno how to use it or u dunno where it is kept or u use it in the wrong situation.. so people..those hu dun haf a fire extinguisher at home but think its useful...go get it! nobody wants their parents/sibling/house to be on fire..but it always gd to be prepared! =) |
